First Aid for Motorcyclists - Level 2 (VTQ)


As a keen motorcyclist, former police response driver and member of the Institute of Advanced Motorists I am very aware of the dangers that we all face everyday on the roads. 


Although at an increased risk of accidents ourselves, motorcyclists are much more likely to stop at the scene of another motorcycle accident and help out where they can.


This course covers basic life support skills and the major injuries associated with motorcycle accidents. It also deals with roadside safety whist dealing with an incident.


This 6-hour course, which is approved by the ACU, can be held at any suitable venue and although primarily geared towards motorcyclists, most of the first aid skills learnt can be transferred to everyday life. 


All our first aid courses fully meet the UK and European Resuscitation Council Guidelines 2021 as per the HSE requirements and are endorsed by Training Qualifications UK (TQUK).


Priced at £50 per person (Group discounts are available for bookings over 6 people). Maximum group size is 12.  


The First Response First Aid course focuses on three main areas:


 

  1. Basic Life support:

 

- The principles of first aid and initial response (arriving and managing an incident)

- Emergency life support, CPR (including technique for children and an explanation of what AED is and how to use it)

- Management of an unresponsive casualty (child and adult)

- Choking.

 

    2.  Trauma and injury:

- Bleeding & Shock

- Fractures (ambulance imminent and non-imminent)

- Sprains, head injuries, dental incidents, and burns.

 

    3.  Major illnesses: Asthma, anaphylaxis, heart attack, stroke, seizures, diabetes, sepsis and meningitis.
