First Aid for Gymnastics Clubs


This 6 hour course is tailored towards anyone looking for a first aid qualification geared towards the gymnastics club environment.


The content meets and exceeds the requirements set by British Gymnastics for coaches, instructors, teachers, judges and anyone performing a club role. 


As well as basic life support skills it will also deal with the injuries and illnesses often associated with gymnastics. It can be adapted to suit your own particular events with relevant injuries and conditions included that you are more likely to have to deal with.


All our first aid courses are delivered in accordance with currently accepted First Aid practice and fully meet the UK and European Resuscitation Council Guidelines 2021 as per the HSE requirements. Certificates are valid for 3 years.


This course is usually delivered in the gym environment and discounted rates are available for bookings of over 6 people. Maximum group size is 12.

Part 1 - Basic Life Support

  • The unresponsive casualty

Part 2 - Trauma & Medical conditions


  • Suspected Spinal Injury
  • Spinal Recovery Position
  • Strains and Sprains, including Achilles tendon injury
  • Fractures
  • Dislocations
  • Types of head injury
  • Concussion & monitoring for more serious injuries
  • Dealing with fainting
  • Cramp in sports & exercise



  • The Secondary Survey
  • Allergic Reactions and Anaphylaxis
  • Use of an adrenaline auto-injector

  • Diabetes
  • Seizures
